Hello GrabADeskers!
It’s been a while since we checked in with you. We’re long overdue for updates, so here are two:
First, GrabADesk has now made connections for 50 startups. Not all of them have moved into space, but lots have. We’re pretty excited to be in the business of helping startup entrepreneurs find homes and we’re very excited that all you startup people AND all you hosts have found us.
Here are two highlights:
- Punit Shah of Zazu, a mobile company that helps you prepare for your day before you even get out of bed, moved into Boston World Partnerships Connector Jay Sun’s space on Newbury Street in Boston. Punit, who is also a BWP Connector, and his team were in the Hangout space downtown. Their new space replicates the creative, dynamic startup culture that existed at Hangout.
- BWP Connector Enrique Shadeh of Startup Blvd, which provides a supportive platform for startups looking to launch and expand their businesses, has moved into Geek Offices, Cambridge. Enrique’s team had been at MassChallenge. Geek Offices offers Startup Blvd flexibility and a dynamic co-working environment.
You’ll notice that BWP Connectors have been taking advantage of this service a lot. They hear about it all the time from me, so they really use it. We’d like to get the word out to a broader audience, so please share GrabADesk with your friends!
Second, we’ve been around several months now and this little project seems to be working, so we’re thinking about phase 2. We would love to hear your ideas for how to improve GrabADesk in the comments. One important piece is how to make the site more social so that startups can find each other and go into space together. As of right now, this site is simply two google forms, so the only way to go is up!
Alright, that’s it ladies and gents. Your feedback is sorely needed so please weigh in!
